Academic or Special Diploma

  • You must have 20 total credits for an academic diploma and 23 credits for a special diploma. All students must pass at least 3 of our tests before graduation.

  • All tests must be proctored . The word proctor is defined at Oceans High School as the person who takes charge of the tests for the student, and is present with the student while the tests are being given. A proctor can be anyone honest and over 18 years old. Even a mother, father or relative can be a proctor.

  • Oceans High School uses the correspondence courses of the Division of Continuing Education Department of Independent Study at the Univ. Of Fla., 2209 NW 13th St., Suite D, Gainesville, FL 32609-3498. To get a high school and/or college catalogue call 352-392-1711 and request the Comprehensive Catalog. The Univ. of Fla. enrollment form and textbook order form are in the catalog.
